Cloth Dipes on the Go
With two kids still young enough to be napping, we don't have many outings where we're gone for very long, so I don't end up changing that many diapers when we're out and about. I pack an AIO for each kiddo and a small Bummis tote. I use disposable wipes (using a spray bottle is too complicated for me and using plain water with cloth wipes always ends up in mildew, probably because I don't use our on-the-go wipes very often). When I'm done changing the dirty dipe, I throw it and the wipes into the Bummis tote. The wipes can go through the washer and dryer with no problems. I just throw them out when I'm folding the dipes. I also have about 6 disposable diapers in the bag, in case we have an unexpected number of diaper changes. They're just much lighter and more compact to carry around. And I've got a little zippered case full of plastic grocery bags because I'm not always super-organized and it's just possible that the Bummis tote could be left in the laundry room when I need it the most. Pretty easy. It's worth it to have a tote rather than relying on plastic bags if only to ensure that no over-helpful playgroup moms mistakenly throw your precious diapers in the trash. | ||||
